Well, I see another topic banning bearing down on us, but meanwhile,
I'd like to use this thread as an example of list etiquette, or lack
there of. When replying to a posting to Tweeters (or any other busy
list, for that matter), the proper way to format your reply is to
delete any of the original post that is not germain to your reply.
The reason for this is that some receive Tweeters as a digest (all
posts in one email, once a day), and this thread will be seen by
digest readers as: the original post, then the reply to the original
post plus the original post, then the reply to the reply to the
original post plus the original post, then reply to the reply to
the... well, I hope you get the idea. At the present rate, digest may
have a dozen or so identical copies of the original post to page
past. Have pity on the poor digest readers, or, if you can't muster
that, then consider all the innocent electrons who've needlessly
sacrificed their existence to this profligate profusion of replies.
