Hello Tweets,

Today a few noteworthy Tacoma area sightings were noted beginning with the lingering albino Yellow-billed Loon that was observed along Ruston Way just north of the Lobster Shop along with 2 pairs of Purple Martins nearby south of the Lobster Shop flying low around several rows of submerged pilings. 4 separate Western Scrub Jay sightings were noted of single birds in North Tacoma and a single bird in the Lakewood area near American Lake including the following:

1 calling bird heard and seen at the intersection of 51st Street and Highland Street in Ruston
1 bird at 48th Street and North Orchard Street just east of Baltimore Park
1 calling bird heard and seen along 9th Street just east of Skyline Ln.(which borders Hwy.16 to the south)
1 calling bird heard and seen along Veteran's Drive at 92nd Ave. near American Lake

Of additional note a single Townsend's Solitaire was observed "flycatching" along a telephone wire row at the corner of Veteran's Drive SW and Alameda Ave. SW.

Sincerely,
