12:05pm start - water level fairly high; not much seen of the mudflats
12:32pm end

Tweeters,
A pair of LESSER SCAUP, the first I've seen at Turning Basin #3, were across the river near the pier; they subsequently drifted/paddled south along the west bank. Unlike the usual Bufflehead group which was in proximity, the scaup weren't diving. The Canada Goose couple with their five darlin' kids (one gone missing since yesterday) sauntered north along the parking lot very close by my spot.

One researcher was pounding in stakes at the goose-exclusion area. And two harbor seals splashed several times in the middle of TB3.

Birds seen during this scan include the following:
Canada Goose (14, including the couple and 5 goslings)
Gadwall (4)
Lesser Scaup (2)
Bufflehead (6)
Common Goldeneye
Common Merganser (3)
Double-crested Cormorant (2)
Osprey (2; Hamm Creek pair were both at the nest briefly, but then flew to the west power tower)
Red-tailed Hawk (2; circling well to the northwest of Hamm Creek)
Glaucous-winged Gull (4)
Rock Pigeon (16)
American Crow (4)
Bewick's Wren
European Starling (5)
Song Sparrow
Red-winged Blackbird
House Finch (2)

May all your birds be identified,
