Subject: 4/20 hearing for proposed development adjacent to Black River heron colony in Renton

Dear Tweeters Friends:

The hearing to review the housing development proposal that threatens the
heron colony in the Black River Riparian Forest is scheduled for Tuesday,
April 20, at 8:30am at Renton City Hall,
1055 South Grady Way in Renton. It will take place on the 7th floor in
the Hearing Chambers. If you're available, please attend.

There will be two parts -- the first part involves testimony from experts
and the second provides you, as a member of the public, the opportunity
to comment. If you would like to give public testimony, great. If not,
it's fine as your hundreds of letters from throughout Puget Sound and
beyond make a powerful statement to the City that you care deeply about
the importance of protecting this wildlife sanctuary.

If you plan to testify and want to time your visit during the second part
of the hearing, our best guess is that it will start sometime after
~10:30 or 11am. There is no way to know just when the first part will end
and the second start, according to Renton City Hall. The hearing is
expected to last into the afternoon.

If you would like to read our legal brief, see

Forever legal brief, submitted in preparation for the April 20 hearing."

Please confirm the date and time prior to the hearing as it still could
change. Contact Jason Jordan, Renton planner at (425) 430-7219 or
jjordan at ci.renton.wa.us. Check our web site for the latest information:

The herons thank you.
