Hi Nancy,

If you would rather not use a computer, use the Cornell Laboratory of
Ornithology life list book which lists all the birds with plenty of room to
note where and when you first saw them and then is indexed in the back for
you to keep the life list count as well as individualized checklists (such
as for state, year, etc.). You can purchase it at:

http://www.withoutbricks.com/estore/product.asp?ISBN=0938027603&affiliate=CornellBirdingShop&mscssid=L9VF1C1FWA3L8L9UJGWGK84A0ACP6DE7

I see someone else already pointed you to the free online life lists
available at ebird, but there is also a good free one available at:
www.birdzilla.com.
Just click on "bird list" on the lefthand menu.

Hi Tweeters,
How do people construct a life list? Is there any special format? Do you
include place, time, quantities or just the bird name?
Thanks
