Keeping a wildlife journal
Mail to: joyesm at gorge.net

Hello Nancy and all;
For me the best approach to keeping a wildlife journal is to take
several sheets of firm paper with me on my bird walks to record lists of
species and any behavior I observe. On these I also make small sketches
of birds to study in more detail when I get home. With this information
I sit down at the computer in the evening and try to write an
interesting story that reads well enough to make good reading at a
future date. It's fun to bring to life in words the beautiful things I
see and feel. The Word program makes this process easy so I tend to get
it done even when I don't have allot of time.
