This is the Lower Columbia Basin Audubon Society Bird Alert for April 15,

Bob Woodley and Warren Hall birded the Yakima Delta on April 1. Notable
birds included 11 GREATER YELLOWLEGS and 1 WILSON'S SNIPE. At Acme
Concrete they found 1 OSPREY and a CINNAMON TEAL. On April 2nd, they found
an OSPREY at McNary NWR and one at the Walla Walla Delta. There was a
GREAT HORNED OWL on a nest with young at Madame Dorian Park near the Walla
Walla Delta.

On April 6, Shirley Sonnichsen reported a COMMON LOON nearly in summer
plumage at Columbia Park in Kennewick.

Bateman Island had bluebirds again, but this time they were MOUNTAIN
BLUEBIRDS. Kathy Criddle and Tracy Walsh observed 2 there on April 7.

Laurie Ness had a RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER at her North Richland home on April 11.

On April 12, Bob Woodley found 4 FORSTER'S TERNS at the Walla Walla
Delta. There were also 5 Cinnamon Teal, 42 American Avocets, 8
Black-necked Stilts, 10 Greater Yellowlegs and 30 Caspian Terns. On April
14, there were Forster's Terns at the Yakima Delta.
