So my question is, given that goslings leave the nest so soon after birth, how do they make it down safely from such heights? Do the parents carry them in their beaks (I can't quite picture that), or do they just tumble out and hopefully land softly? I know ducklings and goslings are pretty resilient, but some of the heights people are talking about are a long ways up!
