Where are you located? Does this crow have any leg bands? About a year or
so ago I spotted one with a deformed bill and leg bands in Lynnwood. It was
one of "Dr. Crow's" banded birds. (I don't recall his name!) He recalled
catching that particular bird on the UW campus about a year before I spied
it.

Hello Tweeters,

Our back yard feeder is visited daily by a few crows. Today, we noticed one
with an excessivly long upper bill, we are guessing 3/4 of an inch; it was
so overgrown that it appeared to cross the lower bill of the crow. I know
Bud Anderson and members of the Falcon Research Group have noted a condition
like this in Red-tailed Hawks and a few other species of raptors. Has
anyone else seen this?
