HI:
I have heard that bats have the habit of washing themselves like cats and handling a bat that is covered in saliva can transmit rabies. Also last weekend at Cnn.com there was a story about a recent recall of a rabies vaccine used recently because it might have contained live virus. People who might have gotten this vaccine had to get another set of shots.
