A Northern Pygmy Owl has been calling ("tooting") from a grove of trees
at Trilogy on Redmond Ridge for the last two days. I awoke this morning
and heard it again. It responded to my toots, (my neighbors probably
think I'm nuts!) but I never could locate the bird in the mixed
deciduous and conifer greenbelt between the golf course and the homes
on the east side of the development. If it continues today, I'm going
to have to set up my scope on the golf course and try to locate it.
