Unless someone was back in the bushes playing a tape, there was a Swainson's Thrush singing over and over between 9 and 9:30 this morning at West Hylebos Wetlands State Park in Federal Way, about 20 yards down the path to the left of the parking lot. I did not see the bird.

It was not singing when I returned at 12:30.

I will go back at dusk.
