Sightings for Sunday, April 25:

24 RED CROSSBILLS were seen at Maplewood Conservation
Area, North Vancouver, along with 1 BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLER.

The Reifel Bird Sanctuary in Delta had 7 GREATER WHITE-
FRONTED GEESE, 5 SANDHILL CRANES and 1 HUTTON?S VIREO.

At Pitt Meadows there was a TURKEY VULTURE over McNeill Road
and a possible female CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRD at Grant Narrows.


Sightings for Saturday, April 24:

A SORA was at Colony Farm in Port Coquitlam, along with a very
late AMERICAN TREE SPARROW.

A NASHVILLE WARBLER was at Burnaby Mountain Park in Burnaby,
as well as 2 BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLERS and an EVENING GROSBEAK.

Reifel had 7 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE east of the east
dyke trail, a WHITE-THROATED SPARROW in the driveway of the
house, 2 SANDHILL CRANES and 6 MUTE SWANS at the Westham
Island Bridge.

There were 1,000 BRANT off Roberts Bank Jetty in Delta, and Blackie
Spit in Surrey had 2 PURPLE MARTINS and a LESSER YELLOWLEGS.


Sightings for Friday, April 23:

A WHITE-THROATED SPARROW was seen at the Reifel Bird
Sanctuary, Delta, in the gift shop garden area. Also at Reifel was
a BLUE-WINGED TEAL, a HERMIT THRUSH, 6 to 14 GREATER
WHITE-FRONTED GEESE and a WHIMBREL.

A TOWNSEND?S SOLITAIRE was at the Alaksen NWA on
Westham Island, Delta, at the gated trail that goes by the inlet.


Sightings for Thursday, April 22:

A PRAIRIE FALCON was seen at the last major overpass before
the gate of the Roberts Bank jetty in Delta.

A WHIMBREL, a MARBLED GODWIT and a LONG-BILLED
CURLEW were on Westham Island, Delta, in a grass field on the
left before you reach the Reifel Bird Sanctuary entrance.

A BLUE-WINGED TEAL was at the Iona Island sewage ponds, Richmond.

Two TURKEY VULTURES were over Highway 1 and Boundary Road in Burnaby.



Sightings for Wednesday, April 21:

Two male PURPLE MARTINS were at Blackie Spit, Surrey, and
70 SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHERS were at "Farm Slough" on the
east side of the spit.

A TURKEY VULTURE was sighted over Highway 1 and Willingdon in Burnaby.


Sightings for Tuesday, April 20:

An AMERICAN AVOCET was on the foreshore, just east of the base
of the south jetty at Iona Island, Richmond, along with 5 BONAPARTE?S
GULLS. Two YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRDS were in the outer pond area.

Two calling SORAS were at the duck pond in Colony Farm, Port
Coquitlam.

A HERMIT THRUSH was at the Maplewood Conservation Area, North
Vancouver.


Sightings for Monday, April 19:

Two AMERICAN AVOCETS were in the bay off the south jetty
at Iona Island, Richmond. Also at Iona were 4 pairs of CINNAMON
TEAL and 5 RING-NECKED DUCKS.

A LONG-BILLED CURLEW, a WHIMBREL and a MARBLED
GODWIT were in a grassy field north of the Telus roadway at the
Alaksen NWA on Westham Island, Delta.

A TOWNSEND?S SOLITAIRE was on the east side of the Maplewood
Conservation Area, North Vancouver.

Another TOWNSEND?S SOLITAIRE was between 2205 and 2215
Williams in Lynn Valley, North Vancouver.
