This morning, on an ELWAS Hot Spots field trip to the Montlake Fill, we had
some great birds to go with this incredible weather:

Cinnamon Teal
Western Sandpiper there were about 15-20 peeps,
mostly Least?s, as Stuart MacKay observed yesterday
Least Sandpiper
AMERICAN PIPIT 3 by the central pond - landed
close to us for great looks
Swainson?s Thrush perched on a bare branch for
several minutes, but didn?t sing
YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD 3 males in the willows on the central pond

Oddly, our only warbler was COMMON YELLOWTHROAT, that was heard only. In
all, 52 species for the morning.
