Bird behavior query..

Is there such a female bird that "nags" its mate into building the perfect
nest? I heard about a bird that will nag its mate as he builds her nest,
and if after inspection she disapproves, she will nag him into tearing it
down and rebuild it.

Is this a real bird or a human alpha female's fantasy bird?
