At 2:00PM today there was a WHIMBREL at the mitigation ponds south of
Certainteed Windows in south King County. The bird was still there at 5:15
this evening. Travel Hwy 167 south of Kent to the 277th exit. Go east,
crossing Hwy 167. Pass Toysmith on your right and turn right at the next
light. This is before crossing the RR bridge. In about 1/4 mile
Certainteed Windows is on the right. There is a turn in after CW and the
bird was seen on the grass around the first pond near the 2 jersey barriers
with the orange chain.

Continuing on "Thomas Loop" turn right at the stop sign, cross the RR
tracks and after the next bend come to Thomas Pond. There was a LEAST
SANDPIPER there at 5:00PM. The pond is full of water, but it has a nice
shorebird edge at this time.

By 5:30 I was at the Boeing Ponds on 59th St in Kent. This is north of
212th. The list there:

SOLITARY SANDPIPER - 1 (in the shallow pond to the east of the main
pond(s)).
GREATER YELLOWLEGS - 1
LEAST SANDPIPER - 6
And a nice assortment of ducks.

It was a good day.
