Lots of summer birds are returning, with reports of BLACK-NECKED STILTS,
AMERICAN AVOCETS, LONG-BILLED CURLEWS, SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS, AMERICAN
WHITE PELICANS, and warblers, including ORANGE-CROWNED and NASHVILLE coming
in region wide. Also reported region wide were the first HOUSE WRENS of the
year.

A notable spring find was an apparent pair of EURASIAN WIGEONS at Sheep Lake
in northwestern Whitman Co WA on 24 April. According to Charles Swift, the
drake was in close company with a very buffy female. Sheep Lake is along WA
23 in extreme NW Whitman Co, about a mile south of the Lincoln Co line. WA
DeLorme 72, C-1.

Terry Gray reports that Jerry Cebula has up to 20 LESSER GOLDFINCHES coming
to his Lenore, Nez Perce Co ID feeder. They've been regular for the past 2
to 3 weeks. Jerry lives northeast of Lenore above the Clearwater River on
the north side of Bench Road about 2 miles up from Lenore. ID DeLorme 58,
C-2.5. There's a constructed wetland across from Jerry's home.

The BLUE JAY is persisting at the feeder of Dave Holick northeast of Moscow,
ID. This bird has been around for about 6 months. If you want to try for it,
give Dave a call at 208.882.5556.

If you have any questions about birds on the report, call me before 9 pm at
208.883.0943. If you see any of the birds mentioned in this report, be sure
to let me know.

Good birding.
