Hi Tweeters,

Last night at Boeing pond I saw a handful of peeps,
aobut 12 or so, mostly Westerns. Also one Solitary
Sandpiper which I was sweating the ID of a little bit
until finally a cooperative Greater Yellowlegs stepped
into the picture. Tons of Kildeer around and I kept
hoping one of the Kildeer would get close to the
Solitary so I could get a good feeling for the size of
the Solitary. But they wouldn't cooperate and it was
better to see the contrast between the Yellowlegs and
the Solitary. Anyway no doubt for sure now it was a
Solitary Sandpiper.

This morning I saw and heard one male Bullock's Oriole
at Medina Park. He was definitely my morning
sunshine! Is this early for him? I don't recall when
I first saw one at Medina last year but I am sure it
was after first seeing many Western Tanagers out and
about and I haven't seen one Western Tanager yet this
year. I haven't heard any reports of them either.

Isn't spring wonderful?
