Hello Tweets,

This afternoon during a very heavy windstorm my mother and I observed a single calling male Western Tanager near our home in Fircrest(Pierce Co.),which was quite early for our area going by our past records. We actually encounter this species more often in the fall than in the spring in our area. It was a good sighting along with having a pair of adult Golden-crowned Sparrows that were noted this morning in our front yard,which are annual migrants at our residence.
