Happy Day!!! A beautiful American Goldfinch male at our feeder for the first time this year. I have been anxiously awaiting their arrival. I thought I saw a female yesterday, but it was just a pine siskin. The male was trying to figure out how to get onto the perch on the thistle feeder and trying to outsmart the greedy pine siskins. He won out but not without a fight.

The Varied Thrushes have gone. Now where are the Swainsons Thrushes?
