I haven't had any varied thrushes yet, but starting Friday afternoon, I have had Black-headed grosbeaks (BHGR)(either juvenile or female)-one at a time-- different ones(?), and early this morning I had an American Goldfinch (AMGO)--probably a juvenile male (small black cap, olive green wings). The BHGR is right on schedule, but the AMGO seems to be a few weeks early.
