A single LONG-BILLED CURLEW was at Mann Lake, Nez Perce Co ID on 20 Jul
according to Gina Sheridan. From the north end of Lewiston, follow US 12
across the river and take a left at the first traffic light heading up the
21st Street hill. Follow it as it becomes Thain. When it narrows from 4
lanes to 2, turn left onto Powers Avenue. Follow Powers out into the country
and to the grain elevators and the reservoir. ID DeLorme 54, A-1.

More than 500 AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS were near Badger Island, just north of
the Walla Walla River Delta, Walla Walla Co WA on 30 Jul according to Mike
and MerryLynn Denny. On 1 Aug on the delta, Mike and MerryLynn saw a single
MARBLED GODWIT, a PEREGRINE FALCON, and 9 other species of shorebirds. The
delta is in western Walla Walla Co and can be accessed 0.1 mile north of
Madame Dorian Park. There's a pull-out along US 12 at milepost 306.9 and a
path to the delta. WA DeLorme 40, D-1.

Another large group of AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS, this one around 200 birds,
was on the Columbia River at McNary Dam, Umatilla Co OR on 30 Jul, along
with a single CLARK'S GREBE, according to Craig and Judy Corder.
