Hi tweeters,

There is a crow that regularly eats in my yard and I noticed that he is losing feathers at the top and back of his head.

Also house finches are back in my yard they were gone for several weeks and I noticed that there was more than a few that also looked like they were losing feathers.

Are they molting? Is this normal? I am pretty sure the house finches were juveniles because they were begging for food.
