Colin Thoreen, Brendan McGarry, Brian Bell and I birded between Westport and Tokeland today. We did not find the Black-tailed Gull, but did have 19 shorebirds for the day with the following highlights:

Turkey Vulture (1) - eating a dead baby murre on the beach
Pacific Golden-Plover (2) - beach off of Warrenton Cannery Road
Snowy Plover (2) - right at the end of Midway Beach Road
Baird's Sandpiper (3) - beach off of Warrenton Cannery Road
Parasitic Jaeger (1) - harassing terns in the ocean, seen from beach at Warrenton Cannery Road
Purple Martin (1) - flying around the marina in Tokeland

Tokeland had many Marbled Godwits, Whimbrels, and a few Willets.
The Westport Jetty had Surfbirds, Black Turnstones, a Ruddy Turnstone, and a couple Wandering Tattlers.
