At midnight last night, a Western Screech-Owl began chuckling out my window.
I suspect it may have been a young bird searching for it's new territory.
As I was standing outside for just 5 minutes or so, I heard 4 Swainson's
Thrushes and 6 warblers migrating. From what I've noticed, fall passerine
migration seems extraordinarily early to me.
