Subject: fall migration timing

Hi All -

The Idaho Bird Observatory (http://www.boisestate.edu/biology/ibo/) runs a
banding station and hawk count at Lucky Peak just east of Boise, ID in the
Boise River range. They started their "fall" banding season in mid-July and
were picking up dispersers and migrants right away as expected
(interestingly they encounter juveniles of some species first and adults of
other species). Some adults in July already had significant fat stores. This
is as expected at least here in the interior. There are several updates on
the IBLE email list
(http://www.birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/IBLE.html#1090970064)

thanks, Charles.
