I had little trouble finding the Common Eider today about 2 PM, however it was not visible from the blue observation tower just west of the ferry dock. Instead it was hanging out near the Port of Port Angeles log loading dock a bit further west. Specifically, it is best to park in the employee parking lot for Westport Shipyard, the entrance of which is opposite S Tumwater St. off W Marine Dr. (the continuation of Front St. on the way towards Ediz Hook).
