This is the Vancouver Natural History Society's Rare Bird Alert for Friday,
August 6th, sponsored in part by Wild Birds Unlimited, with stores in
Vancouver and North Vancouver.

There were no reports for August 6th

Sightings for August 5th

At Colony Farm were 2 SORAS and a VIRGINIA RAIL.

At Lighthouse Marine Park in Point Roberts were 3 BLACK TURNSTONES and an
OSPREY.

Sightings for August 4th

At Reifel were 2 SANDHILL CRANES. Nearby at the Tsawwassen jetty
Compensation Lagoon were 4 MARBLED GODWITS and a WHIMBREL.

A BLACK TURNSTONE and many BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS were at the foot of 96th,
Boundary Bay.

Sightings for August 3rd

A juvenile HUDSONIAN GODWIT was near the mansion at Boundary Bay.

At the Tsawwassen jetty Compensation Lagoon were 3 MARBLED GODWITS and a
WHIMBREL as well as several BLACK TURNSTONES.
