Dear Tweeters,

After the lovely Saturday of birding amongst the jolly
crowd of birds and birders in Clallam County, I went
home and looked at some bird books.

In particular, something caught my attention in the
second edition (1961) of Peterson's "A Field Guide to
Western Washington,"

On page 42, under "Where Found," it says "Winters from
Aleutians, Alaska Peninsula south casually to
Washington."

I was wondering what information Roger Tory Peterson
had to hand when he wrote that...
