I got this e-mail about Tricolored Blackbirds a few years ago in Bothell, WA:

I was tracking these birds when I lived in Bothell a few years ago. I did not report them because I did not know about tweeters. Otherwise I would have.

Have you ever been to North Creek park in Bothell? It is a Snohomish Co. creek bottom land (I forget exactly what creek it is at the moment) just south of Mill Creek. I tracked a small population of red-wing BB's (approx. 75 individuals) across the area and they landed in NC park. While I was collecting data I noticed that some of them were not red-wings, but Tricolors. My first assumption was that they were juvenile red-wings, but after taking some photos and comparing them back to known red-wings, I ID'd them as Tricolors. There were about 15 specific individuals that I documented that trip. As I continued to go the the park, I would notice that the tricolors were there whenever the red-wings were there. I never documented the tricolors by themselves.

As soon as I get my old computer back up and operating, I can send you the documented instances of the tricolors as far as dates, locations, seasons, etc.

Does anyone know this place?
