I found a pair of WHITE-TAILED PTARMAGINE this afternoon at the same
location near Panaoramic Point that they were seen last year (and it's only
my 4th time chasing this bird ;-).

To get to this spot I hiked up the Golden Gate Trail to the Skyline Trail
and on up to the cut off that crosses the snowfield just below Panaoramic
Point ( 2 miles 1700' elevation gain). There is a lush area here with run
off from the melting snowfield. Take a lunch and stay awhile they blend in
very well and were virtually invisible at 10' until they moved.
