Tweeters,
After a successful trip with Marvin Cooper to see the stint (thanks to Nancy LaFramboise, and Ruth and Patrick Sullivan, who had the bird already sighted) we headed to Wenas to check the activity there. Seen at Wenas Lake were: Solitary(3), Pectoral(2), Baird's(1),Semipalmated(1) in with Least and Western Sandpipers. Small number of sandpipers overall in comparison to the activity at Three Crabs, but almost as nice a variety.
What a great time to be birding Washington State. In the last three days I've seen the Eider, the Gull and the Stint. Add in the sandpipers, Bar-tailed Godwit, Franklin's Gull and it's been a very fun time. Thanks to all who have first sighted these birds and to everyone else who has kept us updated. Take care.
