Last night we checked the delta only to find a peregrine causing havoc. We
cannot definitively say we saw the stint.

Well today was quite interesting. The species composition has changed
considerably. The Black-necked Stilt family was nowhere to be seen. The
Red-necked Phalaropes appeared to be missing. There were more Least
Sandpipers. There were at least 5 Baird's Sandpipers.

All this being said, the 7am crowd was in place. There were distant peeps
way up the west end. By 10 am, most had given up hope, some had
left. There were many comments about how amazing it was that the stint had
remained for 5 days. The comments about the bird changes were also signs
of concession.

Talk turned to past birding experiences. One man, ( I wish I could
remember his name - sorry!!) he kept his eye on his scope and he got his
reward. Around 10:30 the stint appeared in close range. Everyone who
stuck with it got great views. It went far up the west end around 11.

This is the story of Stint Day 6.
