High water, high temp (mid-80s), and quite a few jumping salmon at TB3. 12 LEAST SANDPIPERS were bathing and preening (at least until a Canada Goose displaced them) on a mudbank at the south end of TB3 included at least 4 juveniles. I thought I heard the peeps calling when I first arrived on the scene today, but couldn't locate them until they were flushed by waves from the fishing boat "Blizzard" (Dillingham, AK) that came screaming into the Turning Basin and shut down quickly when the driver saw that the navigable water stopped. (LOTS of mud stirred up by the waves.) The sandpipers flew, then settled (conveniently for me) for a bit until the CAGO stepped in.

A harbor seal was visible until the "Blizzard" hit.
