A couple of days ago, Chris Lane showed me photos of an Egyptian Goose along the east shoreline of Capitol
Lake, not far from the bathhouse, north of the area where us old-timers swam as children. I looked at
this goose yesterday afternoon. It's very tame, not banded, allows very close approach. People who jog
or walk around the lake appear to be aware that it's been around for quite some time. It appears to
be most dependably found in this location in the afternoon and evening. Who knows where it goes when
it's not at Heritage Park.
