Hi Tweets -
Well, at least for as long as I was there today, the Black-tailed
Gull was not relocated today at North Cove. I arrived at about
8:00AM, and already there were 3 other birders on the scene scanning
the flock of gulls. One person had been there since 7:00 AM, and from
then until I left at 3:30, we had no luck.

Up to 10 people were present throughout the day, and we kept up a
pretty good watch, so I believe we would have found it if it flew in.
However, the flock of gulls was constantly in flux, with new gulls
arriving all the time. Wherever they were coming from, there seemed
an endless supply of new gulls that may also have included the BTGU.

In addition, I made 3 trips over to Tokeland during the day - once at
7:00AM, once at about 1:00 and once at ~3:30 - the Franklins Gull was
not present for any of these visits though.

Hopefully they'll both be refound soon, but as of this afternoon it
was looking like a day of dips.

Good birding,
