i'm recycling this message to see if there are a few folk in western
washington (relatively local to kirkland/bellevue/seattle) who are in need
of a minor roadtrip to the east (ie, share driving duties and petrol
purchases) to see these little beauties sometime in the next week?

i'd like to visit on monday, 16th, leaving kirkland proper sometime around
6a to 7a at the latest), recognizing that we MIGHT need to spend the night
somewhere on the wrong side of the hills, depending on what we see/find/hear
about for the drive back; i've got a soft spot in my heart for the potholes
area and kestrels, and wouldn't mind accidentally visiting wenas for an hour
or two on the way back :)... i'm not averse to visiting other days instead,
if monday doesn't work out, including this friday (13th)...

private responses preferred... thanx, folks...

Hello All,

The gentleman with all the Hummers lives just south of Dixie, Washington 8
miles east of Walla Walla along HWY 12. Turn right or south onto Biscuit
Ridge Rd.(same as Upper Dry Creek RD.)in front of the tan brick school and
proceed 2.2 miles to the "Hummingbird Crossing" sign. This is the home of
Tom Lamb and he has placed 28-30 Hummer feeders up in his yard. He greatly
enjoys visitors and has had them from all over the world. The T.V. story was
incorrect on one fact and that is there are no Anna's Hummers present.
Washington's second Broad-tailed Hummer was discovered at this location 7
June 2002 . Tom has a very visitor friendly yard and is a very personable
friendly man.

The best window to visit Tom's hummer bonanza is 10-25 May and again 5-20
Aug.. Well worth a visit with a digital camera!

Later Mike
