Tweets,

Lots of birders looked longingly for the Black-tailed Gull later this
morning, after it had been seen by others to depart around 7:45. When Sally
Alhadeff and I returned to recheck the North Cove overlook after checking
gull roosts a mile or two north, the celebrity gull had just been spotted
(by Patrick Sullivan, I believe) as it returned to bathe in the outflow.
This was sometime around 1:00-1:15 p.m. It was still on hand at 2:00 p.m.
when we left the spot.
For anyone who hasn't been keeping track of the details, the North Cove
overlook where the Black-tailed Gull has been seen repeatedly -- if
erratically -- since August 3, is at milepost 20.6 along Hwy 105, opposite
the North Cove Pioneer Cemetery.
