birders,

This evenings shorebird gathering at Robert Lake contained 14 species and
good numbers of birds. The cards are shuffling every night at Robert Lake as
the species "make-up" of the flock changes. Last week there were nearly 100
Semipalmated Sandpipers present, making them one of the most abundant peeps.
Tonight, only 1, but they have been replaced by well over 50 Baird's
Sandpipers!

STILT SANDPIPER 1 juv.
Lesser Yellowlegs 50
Greater Yellowlegs 30
Solitary Sandpiper 5
Pectoral Sandpiper 7
Baird's Sandpiper 75
Least Sandpiper 80
Western Sandpiper 5
Semipalmated Sandpiper 1
SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER 1 juv.
Long-billed Dowitcher 2 ad.
Killdeer 100
Semipalmated Plover 2
Red-necked Phalarope 1 juv.

Get out there fast, water levels are dropping!
