Around 9:30 this morning we had a single Solitary Sandpiper at the Island Center Marsh on Vashon. We had a single Long-billed Dowitcher working Shinglemill Creek across the mud flat at Fern Cove earlier this week. For some reason we seem to only get one or two dowitchers each fall even though there are several locations that would appear as appropriate as the Montlake Fill or the locations down through the Renton-Kent corridor.
