Greetings All

Crockett Lake was filled with shorebirds today

~4000 Western Sands
~450 Least Sands
5 Semi Sands
8 Baird's Sands
1 Wilson's Phal
~40 each of Lesser and Greater Yellowlegs
~20 RN Phal
~10 Semi Plover
~90 SB and 10 LBDO

Accepting the LBDO, the vast majority of birds present were juvs. The
breeding failures in part of the Arctic do not seem to be affecting our numbers. In
the Puget Trough, I've seen more juv Western Sands, yellowlegs, and SBDOs this
fall than any fall since I arrived in WA during 1992.

At St Johns River WMA yesterday: 75 Greater Yell, 2 Lesser Yell, a few Least
Sands, and a juv Stilt Sand.

Cheers
