for a few days earlier this month, i had several juveniles perched along the
pond edge on forbes creek (juanita bay park) most of each day... since,
i've only seen them a few times, and only once in the last 3-4 days...
juanita bay park is not a bad place to visit anyway, and you could do
worse...

Oh, jeez, we've got one or two here on Long Lake, though I don't see one
every day. But the person is welcome to sit on our dock and watch.

Tweets,

A few days ago an out-of-stater was inquiring about a location to find Green
Heron en route to the coast. If anyone still has that post/contact info (I
don't), she may appreciate hearing about Jason's heron at, I assume, Mud
Bay.

Good birding!

Keith Brady and I made a few stops in Grays Harbor today for seabirds and
shorebirds...
....A stop on the way out and back at Mud Bay did not produce the GREAT
EGRET. There were Least Sandpiper and Greater Yellowlegs present though.
Also the other day Steve Nord and I saw a flushed GREEN HERON fly over the
road here.
