Tweets,

There was a single STILT SANDPIPER, juv., at the M st. arm of Potholes Reservoir Saturday early PM along with 80 White Pellies and 25 Great Egrets. The water was high so the Stilt San was far up the arm, following the gravel road east and north from M st. just north of the bridge.

Thanks to Nancy LaFramboise for here diligent tracking of the Red-necked Stint. Terry (from Spokane) and I had a brief view of it in less than ideal light about 7:30 AM Friday the 13th. I could not relocate it later that morning, though I searched until noon.

The Para and McCain ponds outside of Othello were disappointing this morning considering some of the great birds that have been heading through the state. Ten species of shorebirds including five semipalmated sandpipers and one solitary sandpiper. Wilson's phalaropes are congregating and red-necked are now showing up. A single first year Franklin's gull was noted.
