Subject: out-of-stater looking for Green Heron

Last Thursday there was a Green Heron at Nisqually NWR; it flew about some
and perched on logs on both sides of the Nisqually at the river overlook
near the end of the boardwalk. It would be easy for the out-of-stater to
check Nisqually on the way to Mud Bay.

Tweets,

A few days ago an out-of-stater was inquiring about a location to find
Green Heron en route to the coast. If anyone still has that post/contact
info (I don't), she may appreciate hearing about Jason's heron at, I assume,
Mud Bay.

Good birding!

Keith Brady and I made a few stops in Grays Harbor today for seabirds and
shorebirds...
....A stop on the way out and back at Mud Bay did not produce the GREAT
EGRET. There were Least Sandpiper and Greater Yellowlegs present though.
Also the other day Steve Nord and I saw a flushed GREEN HERON fly over the
road here.
