Hello Tweeters and all the birders,
Thank you all for responding to our question ,the sighting again yesterday of the Black-tailed Gull.We all want to keep it updated for other birders to come and see and also the many days this bird will be staying. One point I like to mention for birders what comes for the first time,if the birds lays down and have his head tucked in it is very hard to ID.It was on the third attempt that we finally saw the Gull in question laying down.It took for a while and we kept our eye on the bird as he finally lifted the head and we saw the bill as he stood up and preened and than flew of don't returned that day.I took photos of the bird sleeping in case any one request photos how he looks laying down you can miss the bird all together.I am willing to sent you a photo of this position to give you a better idea to ID the bird.I do not have this photos on our website.

Cheers Ruth Sullivan
