Tweeters,
A biologist asked me the following question: ..."what do you birders know about the distribution and rarity of Artic terns around here?" Specifically, the question regarded Jetty Island (Everett, WA).
I found that Jetty Island used to have a couple of pairs of Arctic Terns nesting, but that was in the 1980s. Other folks have seen Arctic Terns recently feeding near Jetty Island (Tim Perkins "Tweeters" post of July 13), but I've not found anything else.
Anyone have further info or suggestions regarding this question?
Please respond directly.
Thanks,

May all your birds be identified,

Denis DeSilvis
