Warm northerly breeze, with the gill-netters are getting ready to set their nets, but mostly dinkin' around (4 boats at Turning Basin #3) right now. The first gulls other than Glaucous-winged I've seen at TB3 since April 8 were at the restoration site: MEW and RING-BILLED (the latter was in November 2003), one each. A couple of CASPIAN TERNS rounded out the larids.

A STELLER'S JAY was over on the restoration area, the first time I've seen this species here. Nineteen KILLDEER and six LEAST SANDPIPERS were on the mudflat to the east of the stormwater channel that's to the south of the restoration area; until some guy walked down on the mudflat there.
