A few weeks ago there was a posting on Tweeters regarding WA Dept. of
Fish and Wildlife's efforts to make available specialized license
plates, the receipts of which will support wildlife viewing efforts.

I learned today that the deadline for submitting signature forms has
been extended from August 21 to August 27.

2,000 signatures are needed before WA Dept. of Licensing will consider
authorizing the proposed license plates. If you'd like to know more
about this effort and to see the proposed designs, visit
http://wdfw.wa.gov/license_plates/index.htm. If you want to help
collect signatures, the form can be downloaded at this site.
