Matthew, 19, just completed his first quarter of college. He commented
today that he sees many more birds near the college and around the county
than he ever did growing up in Seattle; but says he does not know what
most of them are.

He is staying in a dorm on campus, and has quite a bit of free time
before Fall Quarter begins. He would be thrilled to tag along with any
birders that could pick him up on or near campus; he has no car.
