August 17, 8:41 AM - Hi, this is Gene Revelas, The BLACK-TAILED GULL
was seen this morning, Tuesday, at the North Cove location. It came in
around 6:40 AM, just after daybreak, and bathed and preened at the
mouth of the creek for about twenty minutes and flew off about 7:00 AM.
When I left the area about 8:15, it had still been re-sighted. That's
it. Good luck, and good birding.

August 18, 8:08 PM - Hi, this is Tom Aversa reporting on a trip today
down to the Ridgefield area. For those who are interested in the SNOWY
EGRET, it's still down there with about eight GREAT EGRETS. Saw them
about mid-day in the River S unit. Also SOLITARY SANDPIPER and a BLACK
SWIFT down there.
